Unconfirmed information (aka rumor from Facebook) is that slightly over 1,000 racers started the Ultra Beast in Killington this year, which results in an estimated completion ratio of around 49%. Compared to previous years, where ratios in the 20-30% range have been reported, this is a high number.

If not, it is not competitive. Race your own race is fine for open class but not something you hold out to be competitive. Hard to enforce I'm sure and not sure DeSena wants to enforce it obviously. It is a reason I may not race very many next year after doing a triple trifecta and will end up at 13 races this year in competitive.

If there are other races that were there in the past, take a look at previous year's results and see where you would fall based on your super ranking. But even then, the same race can easily swing an hour either way based on adding a few extra miles or a tough climb etc. Maybe take a range of beasts and try to get an idea.
